In addition to pain medications, the following treatments are available to alleviate pain:

- Massage therapy
- Physical therapy
Health care providers at St. Joseph's Hospital are committed to pain prevention and management.

Education, Support Groups and Services
The “Living with Cancer” support group meets monthly to provide education and support for cancer patients, family members, and friends. The group is co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
Social work services are available to patients and their families for individual and family counseling.
Nutritional counseling and support is also available to cancer patients dealing with dietary challenges.
In addition, the Alyce and Elmore Kraemer Cancer Care Center has a free library of brochures, books, and videotapes to help patients and their families learn about cancer and its treatment.
We are proud to be a major sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. This annual event raises thousands of dollars for cancer advocacy, research, and education.
