Comprehensive Cancer Care
Patients receive personalized care from a team of caregivers. Each individual treatment plan is developed with input from specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, primary care, and surgery.

Medical Oncology
The medical oncology program includes an outpatient chemotherapy infusion suite located in the Cancer Care Center. The program is led by Dr. Ijaz I. Arshad, a specialist in hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Arshad is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has a special interest in pain medicine and palliative care and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
The Alyce and Elmore Kraemer Cancer Care Center also offers certain Phase III clinical trials in which patients have access to new medicines and treatment. Get more information on clinical trials.

Radiation Oncology
Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Radiation Oncology is located in the Cancer Care Center and offers highly specialized internal radiation beam therapy. It has Washington County’s only linear accelerator, which is able to deliver radiation to the tumor in a highly targeted manner without harming healthy tissue. The radiation oncology staff includes Medical College radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, radiation therapists, a medical dosimetrist and a medical physicist.

Medical and radiation oncology services include access to support services such as dietary, social services, rehabilitation and support groups. On-site cancer genetic testing and counseling is also available.

- Varian 2100C linear accelerator with multi-leaf collimator and portal vision
- Eclipse treatment planning system
- CT simulation
- IMRT - one of the most advanced forms of radiation treatment available
- IGRT - image guided radiation therapy utilizing ultrasound images
