Are tests performed on the weekend and if so, how do I receive my results?
Yes, many general lab and radiology tests are performed during Walk-in Care hours and results are often given to you before the end of your visit. There are some tests that may take longer and you will be called by the treating physician with your results. You can also view your results online by enrolling in MyChart which allows you to view your test results anytime, anywhere.
What if I need to reach someone when Walk-in Care is closed?
Free health care advice is available by calling the West Bend Clinic nurse triage service at 262-334-3451 after normal business hours. Your call will link you to a trained, professional registered nurse who can quickly assess your needs and make recommendations for care or give you general medical care advice. In the event of any emergency, St. Joseph’s Hospital Emergency Care is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The department is staffed with board certified emergency medicine physicians and registered nurses specially trained in advanced emergency care.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. For this reason, wait times may vary depending on the number of patients using Walk-in Care and the types of conditions being treated. We continually strive to make your wait as short and comfortable as possible and provide TV, magazines, newspapers and child play areas. We appreciate your patience as we allow adequate time to best care for each patient’s individual needs.
What can I expect when I come to Walk-in Care?
Walk-in Care is staffed by West Bend Clinic board certified family practice physicians, nurses, medical assistants and technicians. Lab and radiology services are also available. You can expect the same high-level care on the weekend, just as you would receive during the week.
